Speed Networking is similar to the concept of speed dating, except it's for making business connections. It's like a regular networking event at an accelerated speed. It involves matching networkers 1-on-1 with many new contacts in a short time. It's a fun, effective, low pressure way to add contacts to your business network.

Conversation takes on a natural flow because the format of the event acts as an ice breaker to help everyone feel relaxed while they network. This type of networking format also allows you to practice keeping your pitch short and sweet. Compared to a regular networking event, you'll meet more people and make more contacts quickly, to maximize your time for maximum results. You can't develop real relationships in a few minutes, however it's a great place to start - and the success of all business networking is in the follow-up. Please bring lots of business cards.

How Does It Work? All participants are seated around tables in pairs. During this fast paced session each pair will network together before rotating to another seat to meet the next person. During each 3-minute session, each pair will introduce themselves, pitch their businesses and see how they can help each other. At the end of each session, the bell rings and you move seats to meet the next person. This process continues till all participants have met each other.

This is a non-compete networking event. Only one industry is accepted to participate and if there are more than 1, the person who who RSVP's first will be accepted. If that accepted person does not attend the event, they will not be able to RSVP for other non-compete events for a period of 3 months.

Great idea! Poor location (there was a very large group behind us - the size of the Bash we had a week before - what as BBS thinking?) and spacing could have been better. BUT it was a good event, lovely idea, needs just a little tweeking to be at its optimum.

Found out about the group too late but I've taken the liberty to post my resume under the "More" tab on this group's profile, then click on "Files" Dear friend, I am at your disposal should you, or a business acquaintance of yours be interested in someone with a profile such as mine for employment purposes. I greatly appreciate your help, thank you for your time and review. - Andres Duran [masked] - Administrative Support - Project Management - Cust. Srvc. - Bilingual
