Business Networking BASH & Expo 3!

84 Park (map)

Selected By: Harrison Tonne

Get the most out of this upcoming BASH by arriving early 5PM to attend a Seminar on Effective Networking. Our speaker is David Volkman. I (Bob Tonne) have been networking for a few years now and thought I was pretty savvy and could give this seminar myself. Wrong. I attended a networking event where David spoke about Effective Networking and discovered the Art of Effective Networking. You will not only learn the Art of Effective Networking, but you will be able to apply it immediately following the Seminar.

Another way to grow our event and membership is by letting other businesses know about it. That's where YOU come in. For every person you bring to the event, you are entered into a drawing for an American Express Cash Card worth $100 and several other prizes. Please invite the service people you know that do not normally attend these events and would benefit tremendously. Such as, Dry Cleaners, house cleaners, Auto mechanics, painters, handyman, carpet installers, plumbers, landscapers, electrician, florist, heating A/C, doctor, dentist.

Why should YOU be there?
1.) FREE Drink for $5.00 entrance fee
2.) There will be between 150 to 200 business owners, entrepreneurs and business professionals attending to network with. Let us know who you want to connect with.
3.) FREE FOOD
4.) To Support our featured non-profit organization St. Luke's Lifeworks of Stamford, CT. St. Luke’s LifeWorks is a non-profit organization providing learning opportunities, housing and support services to people overcoming homelessness in lower Fairfield County. Please check out their WishList at St. Lukes Lifeworks and bring something to the Bash 2 that can make a difference in some one else's life.

Exhibition tables are available for this event. Cost $50, we want to make this affordable for every business and space is limited. Please contact Harrison at [masked].

The price to sponsor the event was right and I can't wait for the next one. I came across some business opportunities as a result of the event, and more importantly, I made some great connections.

This was a good meeting. The speaker was lively and gave useful information including a detailed handout, which is rare. There was good turnout. Just wish the venue had not been playing music during networking time, the space was noisy enough as it was.

It might have been a little better to have the speaker start a little later in the time slot to give those that have to travel from further away to get there. Also, it should be a more formal speaker event where everyone gets to sit down and listen. There was too much mingling at the bar and it kind of got in the way of the speaker's presentation. And those at the bar missed some very important information.

It was a good place to meet new people and reconnect with people you know. I found it a bit too noisy. The speaker was good and he was tested to make his points because of the noise. I believe networking is essential to business. No one is going to find you if you stay at home. I wrote this verse many years ago. Networking is the key to your success. Everyone needs a network if he wants to progress. Take time to build your network and you’ll possess Wealth that can’t be measured as the common coin Or anything tangible, but it has the power to join Relationships together where all can benefit. Keep building your network, for success, it’s a prerequisite. '

I had a great time at this event. This was my first Meetup event that I have ever attended as well as my first networking event. I'm made several connections that I would not have ordinarily have met.

We exhibited at the Bash and met a lot of new and interesting people. We will definitely do it again.

It was OK, not terribly fruitful for me. Strangely, when I talk/network with people, I'm always positive about their businesses and their goals and at least "act" interested, whereas several of these folks said right at the outset, when I introduced myself and my business, that they were not interested and would never need my services. I noted, however, that most of the people I spoke with could, in fact, very much use my services. The place was extremely nice and the price was right. I'm celebrating Passover and that was not taken into account at all relative to the food served. Breaded chicken, rice and pasta are all "no-no's" during Passover. I would have hoped someone would have taken that into consideration.
